Senior Construction Manager and Resident Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Detail design in the East of Turkey with initial routing and route determination through to construction execution completion of 1,480km of 56" and 48" gas pipe-line over mountainous terrain, including procurement of pipeline to complete the build in two years.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

-  Project stretched from Georgia in the East to Greece in the West covering two continents

-  Design was sympathetic to geohazards such as seismic faults and land slides, allowing construction to take place with ease

-  ​​​10,000 strong workforce on the whole project

-  600 side booms

-  1,480km of pipeline included HDD's and Micro tunnels crossing roads and rivers

-  Total project value in excess of £10billion+​

-  Extreme fluctuation in temperatures of 80°C from -40°C to +40°C

-  4 main contractors working on building the pipeline

-  Many other contractors involved in Compressor Stations and C & I works
